A sworn statement that you are free to marry.
The United States does not issue a certificate of single status. Instead, many foreign registries accept a sworn affidavit, signed in front of a notary, stating that you are not married and are free to marry. It is also called an affidavit of single status or of freedom to marry.
Because it is a notarized document, it is apostilled by the Secretary of State of the state where the notary is commissioned, or legalized for countries outside the Hague Convention. Some countries use their own form or ask for a declaration at their consulate instead, so check with the registry first.

Questions.
Can you write the affidavit for me?
We prepare it from your details in the format the registry asks for, and notarize it. We do not give legal advice about your marital status.
Can I sign it online?
Yes. Remote online notarization works from anywhere, and the notarized affidavit is then apostilled by Missouri.
Do I need a translation?
Usually, for non-English-speaking countries. See certified translation.
