01What USCIS asks for

A full English translation, certified.

USCIS requires every foreign-language document you submit to come with a full English translation. The translator certifies that the translation is complete and accurate and that they are competent to translate from that language into English (8 CFR 103.2(b)(3)).

The rule does not require the translation to be notarized. Always check the current instructions for your form, because some forms add their own requirements.

02What our certification includes

What you receive.

  • A complete translation of everything on the document, including stamps, seals and handwritten notes
  • A layout close to the original, so the reviewer can follow it line by line
  • The translator’s statement of competence in both languages
  • The statement that the translation is complete and accurate, signed and dated, with contact details

03Translation is not an apostille

Two different services.

A certified translation makes a foreign document readable for USCIS. An apostille authenticates a U.S. document for use abroad. A USCIS filing needs the first, not the second.

Going the other way, with U.S. documents for use in another country? See apostille services.

Is acceptance guaranteed?

No. USCIS decides every case. We are not affiliated with USCIS; we provide a complete, certified translation in the form its rule describes.
